People Centered Lighthouse (PCL) is here to walk with African refugees, stand with them, support and empower them to thrive.
With roots in Africa and experience in the US, we’re dedicated to supporting African communities on two fronts: empowering refugees to thrive in America and advocating for self-reliance and independence in Africa, with a special focus on protecting and uplifting the most vulnerable.
Our purpose today is evident: to make a case for African refugees, respond to immediate needs, and establish doors to lasting stability in Dallas, Texas, and in African communities everywhere.
We listen with empathy, understand actual needs, and provide tailored support, from food and basic necessities to training and emotional care. We nurture strong community relationships that foster a sense of belonging.
We help refugees adjust to what would initially be an unfamiliar environment by providing mentorship, cross-cultural exchange, and language instruction. However, we are not driven by a political agenda. Our dedication is rooted in personal compassion and faith, inspiring us to serve African refugees and communities with love, support, and empowerment.
